Eat'n Park - Johnstown: Reviews & Ratings
I stopped in on Monday 5/12 and I really wasn't having the best day. Much to my surprise my whole mood was uplifted by my server. Her name was Jessica between her smile and upbeat attitude and knowledge of the menu it was a welcoming breath of fresh air! The world needs more people like her serving the public!! I went in feeling down and left feeling amazing thank you eat n park and especially Jessica!!
We went there one late evening and was pleasantly surprised. The buffet was great... Soups, salads, and fruits were yummy. Staff was amazing, so friendly, and accommodating. The restaurant is wheelchair accessible and they are open until 11pm, but the buffet closes at 9pm.
We come here a couple times a month as a way to spend time as a family. The menu isn't overwhelming, which is good, but the food is kind of sub par Diner food. We mainly enjoy the all you can eat salad bar. Wait staff is pretty friendly and cost is okay. The reason for my three stars rather than 4 today is I went at about 8:15 pm tonight and from what we could see there were about 7 tables occupied. Our waitress was sweet but being relied on by what seemed like every table even though we were all scattered in each section. 20 minutes passed before we got to put our order in and just as we were going to someone shut the salad bar lights off (while a mother and her son were making their plates. They questioned her and she said it was a quarter to and that's when they shut it down. The place doesn't close until 11 so why shut the salad bar 2 hrs early? Anyway my husband basically told the waitress we wouldn't order unless she had her keep the salad bar open for 30 min more. She agreed but getting additional lettuce and stuff was difficult and it was nearly empty and believe me 30 min on the nose the nasty lady was out there quickly pulling everything. My husband told her he was feeling a bit rushed and she pretty much said Oh Well. I'm told the one in Richland has it up all night so I guess we will be going there next time.
Perhaps the worst burger in the history of food - actually the two worst burgers as this sandwich was a double burger - was presented in our takeout last week. It was dry, burned, overcooked, crumbling and tasteless (yes, we tried to eat it with a log of ketchup). Of course, getting take out means having to drive back so that wasn't going to work. Plus they were extremely busy and the wait time at the drive through was much longer than normal. Very disappointing. To be totally honest, other food provided to us was fine and edible. The fries that came with the burger were soggy but other food was fine. And this is the first time we've had a major issue with take out food from this restaurant. Still, very disappointing.
The place looks great! Had the turkey club sandwich very good. My server Jessica was friendly and polite.
Breakfast was delicious. Pleasantly surprised. More expensive than local diners but that was expected for a chain restaurant.
I haven't had EatnPark in 25-30 years. I went in hungry and not expecting much.. I was WRONG! The staff were all so sweet and attentive - the host, our waitress, and even the lady filling up the salad bar! Our food was terrific and I was happily surprised!
After a long work week had dinner at eat n park Westmont Jonstown Pa. Our server Lexi was very sweet and kind. She was efficient and was quick to refill our drinks!! Great job Lexi! Super nice! We will be back! Thanks

One of the standout features of this establishment is its buffet, especially praised for the delicious soups, salads, and fruits, which cater to various tastes and preferences. Reviews often highlight the friendly demeanor of the staff, with many customers, like Earl Simmons, sharing uplifting experiences with their servers, such as Jessica, who leaves a lasting impression through her warm smile and extensive menu knowledge. It's clear that the staff here is committed to enhancing your dining experience, and that personal touch truly elevates your visit.
However, while the buffet is a highlight, opinions on the main menu can vary. Customers like Mara Burkhardt enjoy the ease of the simpler menu, particularly loving the all-you-can-eat salad bar as a family favorite. Nevertheless, some patrons have encountered mixed experiences with certain menu items, notably the burgers. Steve had an unfortunate experience with a dry and overcooked double burger, although he acknowledged that other food items were more satisfactory.
While there may be occasional hiccups, the positive atmosphere, paired with the dedicated staff, creates a vibe that encourages repeat visits. The layout is also wheelchair accessible, ensuring that everyone can enjoy a meal here. Although the buffet closes earlier than the restaurant itself, the staff's willingness to accommodate requests—like extending salad bar hours, as mentioned by Mara—shows they value customer satisfaction.
In conclusion, Eat'n Park - Johnstown is more than just a place to grab a bite; it’s a community hub that welcomes guests with open arms and a smile.
